Wasn't able to get to the river till the last half hour of the outgoing tide but did manage a couple of yellow perch. The yellow perch are there but seems they have spread out as they usually do this time of the year. Saw one white perch caught on bloods and had reports that a few short stripers had been caught. Saw my first channel cat of the season caught and though off to a rocky start weather wise it seems as though spring 2017 is finally here.

OD, do you hit the GEH river? Planned on hitting a mullica trib near a spillway soon.

Hey Rob go get'um, Stripers are all over, overwhelmingly short but I am hearing of keepers caught in the mix. Seems to me we get more winter hold overs every year, GEHR or the Mullica. Was picking up shorts near Sommers Point in the winter while jigging for white perch so the Tuckahoe should be holding fish also.

My buddy Kenny and I were supposed to fish the Susky on Thursday, but the river was blown out, even before this rain. I had the day off, so I did NEPA trout tour and landed a bunch of natives at one little creek and a piggy at another stop on the way home.

The bottom fish was from the Tully on Sunday. Streamers in the high, stained water on the big creeks. Caddis pupa on the trickle.

    Union Lake 4-2

Interesting Day. As I was wading around Union today had 2 boats come with in 20 yards of me even though both times they were the only boat visible in the area. Anyway smallie bite was strong caught several all on chartreuse 3.75" Zoom tube baits.

Default PA's second mentored youth opener with my son

I got to be a hero today and put my son on some huge trout. He landed an 18 inch brown and an 18 inch rainbow, along with 3 or 4 others. The creeks in NEPA were almost at flood stage, but fish a deep eddy yielded enough to make the day a success. No one else was out, either! All the fish came on a mop fly rigged up on a slip-bobber rig.

Hit Cedarville this morning. Water was really muddy. Water temp at 52. Caught one real good bass and three pickerel, everything on a DT-4 crank.

    April 9th Union Lake

From around 10 am to 11:30 smallmouth and largemouth bite was on fire. Caught 5 smallies and 3 largemouths and a big pike all on a chartreuse KVD squarebill. These were the best 2.

Bite died so I switched to drop shotting a 3" gulp minnow when I got a giant bite. It was a 7 pounder but not exactly what I was looking for lol!
