Default Is there a good hot dog stand anywhere?

I love hot dogs out of the microwave, but cant find a good dog joint. Yoccos in the Lehigh Valley, Petes across from Nifty Fiftys, the place in North Wildwood, I could go on but I cant find a hot anywhere that tastes better than a Nathans thrown in the microwave for 50 seconds, its total BS.

The excellent people who protest against all hunting and consider sportsmen as enemies of wildlife are ignorant of the fact that in reality the genuine sportsman is, by all odds, the most important factor in keeping the larger and more valuable wild creatures from total extermination"

You need to go to Texas Weinners in Central Jersey. There are a few different locations. My brother in law still has me mail him some to Florida.

My father took me there 30 years ago and I still remember the place and stop anytime I'm in the area. The toy train display was awesome, so were the dogs

I have Rutt's Hut only about 3 miles from my house. Wednesday is bike night there so I will occasionally go and have a few "Rippers" and a root beer.

Another cool place is Hot Dog Johnnie's way out Route 46, I think it's in Belvedere, NJ. That is another cool destination for a ride on the bike.

We also used to have a guy with a truck called Cousin Ben's in Lyndhurst. That was a place with something like 75 different varities of hot dogs and each had a name. You just asked for the name and he knew what to make for you. I liked the Detective Bob Marone Dog, but I have no idea who Bob Marone is (was?).

Another hot dog mecca is the Hot Grill in Clifton. They have great fries with brown gravy too.

In Dallas, PA there's a hotdog stand where the waitresses come up to your car - 50s style. A little far of a drive. 15 minutes closer is Wilkes Barre. They have a Top Dog .
