Since I don't know how many more weekends I can fish I took the day off on Friday to go out. I am heading out of GE Inlet Friday Morning - Should I troll South or North? I have heard mixed reports and wanted to at least get an idea which direction to go.
Friday is not going to be fun. Buoyweather calling for 18-25 and small craft. Not to mention the high will only be in the upper 30's. Be careful. Fish are spread out all along the area from north of AC to Sea Isle.
They were still being caught north of Island Beach. The main mass has not reached us yet.
I'm thinking north. I'll be watching the winds for Friday/Saturday/Sunday fishing.
Thanks everyone. Just confirming my suspicions on trying to head North. I SHOULD have also said if the weather improves some. I will be watching the weather this weekend as well. Hopefully can get a few trips in still.
There were some fish to be caught off of Corsons Inlet Monday afternoon. Right on the 3 mile line, caught a 38" on a stretch 30...some other boats were catching too.
There were some other good reports from around there as well, which is why we went there.
Make a left and look offshore. We fished from Townsends Inlet towards Great Egg Inlet today with no luck. The Cape May charter boats were somewhere north and east of us.
The bait is gone. Did the bunker boats sweep through the area this week?
Reports from Sandy Hook south yesterday were not good overall. Maybe the W/NW will bring the bunker in ( bunker tend to swim into the wind) but it could be close to the end of season for bass....good luck if you go today.
We didn't go out today. Was kinda bummed. May try and go Sunday. My days are getting limited here.
