I remember a webcam over Hook,Line & sinker in fortescue some years back behind a flag so you could get an idea of the wind speed , and I think it was called Striper cam ? But the light house idea would be the best .
CBS 3 weather bug has live camera on CM beach shows live shots but it is hard to tell if it is rough or not their weather forecast are live from beach:thumbsup:
Yes, surprised, but the weather station was recently repaired/replaced. It's usually available at http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/station_page.php?station=brnd1
but right now, it appears none of the weather stations in the bay are on-line. Hopefully this is just temporary.
Bay camera hours are dawn until about 8:30 AM. (We pay a fortune for cellular data here without any hard-wired Internet). Winter weather sometimes messes with us but the camera is otherwise on daily.
Glad I ma not stationed on 14 ft light with all the ice. The sound was really errie when the ice would scrape on the tube. did that for one winter in '71
