    Default Cobia in 2017

Today I 'think" I read that a Cobia can not be kept by a recreational fisherman this whole year but commercial guys can harvest?

I hope I am wrong on this one. Can someone in the know advise on this?

    Thanks!

I believe it's only in federal waters, not state. But I could be wrong on that.

I got one about 10" last year bottom bouncing for spikes in CM. Would love to tangle with a keeper on light tackle. I think I read the new regs are only for the EEZ, so it shouldn't affect the Bay. At least not yet...
