Ed:

I was out on Tuesday afternoon, and there were tons of small spearing, peanuts and snappers in the Shrewsbury River with weaks, fluke & blues all over them at high tide.

This was the first time I saw them this year. The snappers and peanuts were perfect bait-sized specimens.

A few guys from my marina were using them as bait, and they were catching weakies from 16-25 inches on almost every cast. However, my buddy and I tossed Gulps, and they were eating them just as readily.;)

Good Luck!

I keep my boat in a slip at the Clam Hut (right next door to Marina on the Bay.)

I have passed you guys in your Duranautic a few times on my way out of the river before I knew it was you. Now that I know your boat, I'll swing by a give a shout "Hello!" the next time!

My boat is a 21' Pro-line cc with a teal colored T-top and the name "Bertha" in big blue letters on the side.

Ed use small Kastmaster 's or Sibiki rigs for snappers.

Break out the freshwater trout rod, scoop up some spearing and throw them out on small hook for the snappers. Makes some fun out of them little bastards.
