Anxious to give the stripers a shot but unaware the Duke of Fluke was this weekend I had no idea how rediculous the boat traffic, even in the back bays could be. We tried the incoming in a spot Timmy wanted to explore and had our first fish within minutes of setting the lines. (a short, but not by much) The next hookup came only minutes later and I put my 1st keeper of the day in the box, a fat 33"er. We picked through another 5 shorts before the slack made the area tricky to fish, so we made a move. This is where the boat traffic got just plain silly. We caught another dozen nice just less than 28 inchers before the amount of attention we were getting from the hookups became too intense and we made another move away from the mainstream. This last stop was the pay off with instant and double hookups. I put a limit plus a bonus in the box as well as returning numerous shorts before calling it a day. It was very cool to go back to the marina in the middle of the day and clean stripers in July. They did attract some attention. Thanks Tim that was a great diversion from the regular summer fare. See you Friday!

Hey Barry,
Thanks for the great report! I called while you were out there & Timmy told me of the boat traffic!
But I'm glad to see you did finally put some good ones in the box for dinner!

Everybody recognizes the "WAWA" boat now. It was actually the 1st and last stop.
