THe water temps along the sandy hook beach are hovering around 67 degrees on the incoming. Bass fishing is still good believe it or not with plenty of keep fish. I have been chunking but I know that snagging and dropping is working very well too. The detweiler party did a good job of landing a big drum on friday in addition to plenty of bass and blues up to 22 pounds. The Mroz party of two yesterday did extremely well despite the July 14th timeframe. they were well into double digits with bass. That many bluefish too. I have been fishing during the day. the drum picture is on my site for those that care.

Chris...just read your post about the black drum. Very underrated game fish. Can't tell you how many times that I heard from people that they don't fight!! But they are one of my favorites to fish for.

We found bass a bit south of you on Friday the 13th. I was reading 71.5 degrees on the last of the incoming. Unbelievable.
