Headed a bit north of Shark River inlet and spotted several schools of bunker. With the water temp reading 71.5 degrees did not have much hope. Then about 150 yards behind the school of bunks started to see "explosions" on the surface. I tied on a 6" long crocodile and cruised over. I could see a big striper chasing bunker on the surface. Threw a cast at her and fish on!!!! This was the hardest fighting striper I have ever experienced. She would not run away from the boat, but instead every time I pulled her near the surface, she would dive hard. Took a little while but I did get her to the net. 38" and fat. Worked the bunker for another hour or so, but could not locate any more bass. Sunset was awesome :) .
