Caught 12 bass last night on top water plugs. All ranging from 23-27 inches. Except one...12 pounds 32 inches or so. I did not have a scale or tape measure just made a guess based on other fish I have caught that size. It is the best I have ever done in New Jersey waters. All were caught after dark on an out going tide around the sod banks. This was the first time that I tried using top water plugs in New Jersey. I only use top water down in Maryland around St. Micheals. I had a lot of fun and will continue to :D "plug after dark":D

What area were you in? Not asking for specific spots.

Good report,
Thanks

Good work! I was out with a fellow barner Friday. Managed two nice healthy shorts at sunset with a barrage of strikes too. Nothing after dusk though.

Good deal. Had 2 over the weekend in the same area. Not bad considering all of about 1 hour of effort.

Smack-it jr poppers.

Nice report, I haven't been out in the evening but took a look last night, they were popping all over the place...I couldn't get them to bite, but only had 1 rod with a zoom in my truck, tonight I am bringing a little assortment. Also saw some big ones under some lights, couldn't get them to bite either, the lure was right in front of their face!

I'm also a Maryland member. Normally fish out of Deale.
Perhaps we can exchange info.
Keep a tight line.

Interesting- I don't tend to do well with the full moon. I usually do best on dark nights.

I love using eels this time of the year all the way up to thanksgiving at night on the rock and the sod banks the hammer the hell out of them.
