If you are talking about the fall run, yes there will be stripers there when the water cools. By boat or on the beach/rocks? If you are going by boat, be very careful of the shoals and tides. GE is not the best inlet for Striper fishing by boat, especially on the weekend when there is quite a bit of boat traffic, but I have caught my share there. I have also seen them caught on the Longport Rocks, and near the new Longport bridge, (on the beach below). Water temp, tide and current have to be right.

ive caught a few here and there in the ge inlet but they were all real early morning fish like 4-6 am. after that they seem to shut off to much boat traffic and also i don't think the inlet has the right bottom for stripers nothing but mud i usually fish the inlet 2 trips then i get frustrated and head to the rips.

I fish the GE inlet and can say it supplies me with alot of meat. If your looking for large bass(40+") then go else wheres. I boat at least 800-1000 bass a year and 75% are from the inlet. I avg.(last 10 yrs) at least 2 over 40" ech year, and at least 100 over 36". Just do your research and watch that depthfinder it will tell ya secrets that charts wont...

Based on my recent outings, I would say it is a little early. I have been seeing increased activity back in the bay, but nothing that tells me it has started. For the past month, the blues have been there on most morn's and eve's.
Soon !!!!!!!!
