View Full Version : Report from Sandy Hook Sunday
A conflicting forecast and lazy crew caused us to take a long shot and give the bass a shot vs running offshore. We drifted eels through the rips, tried clams around the false hook and clam beds and trolled spoons around the rocks, not a touch all day except for junk fish!

Day time bite is big blues, lots of fun. After dark, eels in the SH rips, 8,15 lbs plus stripers on the drift. Fished from 6:00, blues, till midnight. The stripers came after it got dark.

Between Sandy Hook and Staten Island where the Hudson River flows into the Atlantic. If you thought the Cape May rips gets crowded, try this on a weekend.
