Took a break from the boat and was on the South Jetty last night not catching keeper Tog or Sea Bass. Some did though. In the late afternoon there were birds working just outside the inlet. Other than that it was pretty quite. Lots of reports of Big Blues on the beach. Most of the Bass talk has been Shorts from what I've been seeing. My buddy and I were talking it might be a good time to walk the beaches with plugs at night.

i trolled from the north jetty all the way up to the bathing beach and back without a touch. pulled two stretches, umbrella rig, clark spoon down deep and a small feather up top looking for anything, nada a bite. birds out in full force but nothing under them. marked a decent amount of bait down deep but that could have been weakies. heard one bass took a umbrella rig and a few bonita being caught. other then that not to hot yet. heard south of the island produced a litte better.

Fished about 12 hours saturday and sunday on the beach in Beach Haven with no luck at all.

Same here, trolled from the tip of Holgate up to and past the red tower, not a thing, tons of small blues, tried umbrella rigs with tubes and shads, stretchs etc.:eek:

Between Sat and Sun I got about 40 Bonito right off the beach. No heavy marks but they're around feeding on peanuts

I trolled for a while on Sunday between LE Inlet and the towers off LBI in 25-30 ft and didn't get touched. I pulled out everything, Stretches, umbrellas, big bucktails, clark spoons, bannanas. Not a touch.

I trolled from BI to Casino Pier yesterday and not as much as a knockdown on the troll. (Shads, spoons, stretches). I did find a bunch of bluefish under working birds and that was as many as you wanted in the 3-5lb range. I also managed two short bass clamming inside.

Caught some bonita & blues of ISP, but no bass!

I trolled last weekend hoping to hit something....nodda thing on the troll. I was marking fish on the bottom and for the hell of it I pulled my light tackle rods out and drifted over these marks and started catching weakfish, croakers and small blues. Not a sign or a mention of stripers from anyone.

Fished Saturday north end L.B.I., caught 1 22" striper, 1 32" striper, 1 2lb. 6oz. weakie and 12 blues within 3 hours.

Heavy bluefish action sat and sunday, with alot of big blues. Mainly north of the tv tower. I see reports of some bass being caught, with most at low tide....

Got out sunday- lots of weekfish action on jigs. caught one 32" bass on live bait and missed a second. Also caught a few 20" bass top water. tons of blues around

sweet. I'll be on my cousin's boat on Monday. we'll be heading out through BI and hopefully, we'll find some hot top water action.

Most of the blue action has been poppers on the top water. Most slammers taken south end of island out front mid morning.With a couple of beach blitz too.
