i was makeing my own till today i was looking at the lips for my regular plugs and said what if i flat it out and cut it back.
yes it does have a tight wiggle also.

I'll make a deal with you smitty, let's swap tools for 6 months while your into the carving. My snap-blade utility knife for your lathe, just think how much more room you'll have in the shed this winter:D

They are very sharp plugs;)

That plug is sweet! How do you get started making plugs? How much is the investment? Are there any books on the market?
