:) Fishing Report
We have all been waiting for the run to start and with the cool temp’s it looks like it has turned on. While this is no time to ignore the other species like the Bluefish and Perch the Stripers look like the have moved in. The perch are still the main catch in the Nantuxent Creek but we had our first report of a legal size striper being almost in the net.
During the week a few boats fished the 34 an 6 buoys and returned with the first positive steady reports of keeper Stripers everyday. While they were not the cows that we would like to report it was a positive step.
On Tuesday Lewis Patrick and crew reported 2 Stripers over 28” at the #34 Buoy and a few runoff’s.
On Wednesday Lewis Patrick and Kenny Frazier headed out Lewis heading to #34 and Kenny stopping at #6 while there were no keepers Kenny report over 20 Stripers up to 27” fishing alone, so it seems that they are schooling up.
There where also reports of a 37 ½” and a 40 lb. fish over at Blake Channel. We also had a report of a keeper Striper caught in the Nantuxent Creek by Larry Jordan at night but his lost it at the boat going for the net.
We are taking spots for winter storage and offer inside as well as outside locations. Power washing , shrink wrapping and winterization are available at a great price.
We still have Striper season slips starting at $50.00 it looks like unless we get ice we will be keeping our docks in till Dec. 15th and Hunting season ramp passes are only $50.00 for the whole winter season.
Don’t forget you can still rent a boat to get your Stripers and Perch in the Nantuxent creek starting at $45.00.
We have fresh Bunker for Sundayfrom now on so call ahead to reserve yours.
Thanks again,
Mike & Mickie
