hey guys, i finally got a boat, and am looking to do some striper fishing before the season is over. My question is..... Where are some good spots to try around Dover/Milford(without spot burning). Should i try the small river mouths or work the Bay shorelines? The boat is not big enough to go out any further than that. Any help would be great!!!

Mahon isn't a bad run to some spots that hold stripers, also a few drops and shoals within a few miles of Bowers. I'm not worried about "spot burning" because where I've caught them on one trip, they weren't there on the next. Where they weren't another time, they were the following, etc...
Check your maps out, there are reef sites within 5 or 6 miles of either Mahon (rough road, steep ramp) or Bowers (FAST current). Mispillion (Cedar Creek) also has some sloughs and drops within a few miles of the ramp. Last year a buddy boat of mine hit some stripers within 3 miles of Bowers (but he still hasn't given me the exact position! :o )
If you're in Smyrna, consider running out of Cedar Swamp and going north towards Augustine or south towards Ship John. Haven't heard any reports recently, but these can be decent areas to try and have produced well in the past.
