Broke the inlet around 6:30 and found west winds flat seas and moderate size rollers. Ran south along the beach and did not see much of anything, no surprise the water was very dirty. Made a couple of stops over very limited bird play but came up empty. Set up and trolled in and around the rocks for a few hours and managed to only put a few shorts in the boat. Around 10:30 or so, we put plan “B” into action and hit a couple of wrecks, first drop was a bust didn’t even catch trash fish, started to think fishing was going to stink all around. Picked up and moved a little further off into deeper/cleaner water. The guys had fish on before the anchors came tight and continued to pick for the rest of the afternoon. Not a bad day considering what the ocean looked like on Saturday. Starting this weekend we will start bringing some green crabs along, just in case, I’m sure if we had some yesterday we would have added a couple Tog to the catch.

Fishing is only going to get better from here on in, I have a couple of weekend dates open in Nov and Dec. Also, I have a split charter for this Saturday and I'm looking for two, if you are interested drop me an email or give me a call.

One last thing, what was with the piece of trash being a total a-hole on channel 65 all day long? If you don’t know how to fish and just come out on the water to get drunk and start fights with everyone, maybe you should consider taking up another sport.

The porgy was about 13.5", we didn't catch many but every one we did catch was a keeper.

Still have two spots open for Saturday, give me a call if you are interested in coming along. The target is going to be Striper, but if we limit out quickly or things are slow we will hit the wrecks.

Capt. Ken,

I was out Sunday morning and heard the channel 65 ranting. It is deplorable and not helpful to anyone. I thank you for bringing it up.

It seems every weekend this is the norm now. I am not hopeful that the miscreants abusing the radio would participate here, but hopefully they will pull their boat out soon and give everyone a break. That, or maybe drink a little less in the morning.

Not sure which was worse, the jackass who was starting the whole thing or the guys who jump on and argued with him. I ended up turning the radio off for a few hours and was surprised when I turned it back on later in the afternoon, he was still at it. When is everyone going to learn, if you don’t acknowledge these guys they get board and go away, if you engage them, they will keep it up all day long.
