11/5 not a bad day.. on the troll........

we left the dock around 7 and as we approached Barnegat inlet there were a ton of birds working inside.. we saw some guys catching herring, we got our gear out and immediately got few in the livewell. Then we headed out didn't hear much chatter on the radio and the water was dirty so decided to fish a little deeper.. as we headed north we started to troll in around 40 feet.. got our first strike at about 65 feet , a big 15 pound blue.. got another one within 5 minuets.. as we got deeper around 72 feet.. bam there they where 34"er trolled the area for approx. another hour with more big blues hitting our spoons.. then another striper.. 29"er.
we then went on the drift with the live herring.. the only thing we got where more big blues biting us off. all in all not a bad day to be on the water as it was beautiful out.:)

Thanks for the report. I pulled some stretches along IBSP close to the beach in the afternoon without a look. I'll head out a little deeper on the next trip. Looks like Thursday.

you can use sabiki's but I was using the "deadly dick's".:D got it at Walmart.
