Had the Baum family from Freehold, NJ out for a day of striper fishing. Found birds and fish right outside of Manasquan inlet but I knew it was going to quickly turn into a mob scene so headed a little north and found a pod of fish all to ourselves. Chased them up, down, in, out until around 11:00 when it got a little quite and we made a move down south to the fleet off the Thunder Bird where we started catching right away, we then moved a little further south, out of the chaos, and boated a few more. When all was said and done we had well over 60 fish, the guys kept one each for the table and released the rest. Great day, great group of guys who were good anglers, can’t tell you what produced the best because the guys were constantly switching from jigs, to Hopkins, bucktails, storm shads……you name it they all caught fish.

Good seeing you out there on Sat. We had the same results, it is nice not having to deal with 300 ft. of wire.

Great talking to you as well and I hear you on not having to drag the wire around however sometimes that is the only way to put fish in the box. That fleet in front of the Thunderbird was absolutely insane, I’d get out in front of them only to have another boat come and set up 10yrds off my stern. Going to hit it hard and heavy the next couple of days, both stripers and tog, stay tuned it’s only going to get better.

Read about your Dog, glad to hear everything turned out ok.
