Just got off the phone with my father in law, fishing about 1.5 hours so far, 5 fish, 1 keeper @ 30", with a 6th fish hooked up as he hung up the phone on me, all caught on drifted live spot. Will post with more info if he calls again. He said they had fish on every pass.

That second hand report is garbage. That was his 6th skate his was hung with. You didn't hear him right. All the bass swam out of the inlet and headed south! Good report, only too good for the internet in the eyes of many. Tackle store might luv you though.

yea, your right, he was lying through his teeth. Didnt say where though, he launched down there and ran out.........besides, if it was a secret where the bass are then there wouldnt have been 20 other boats fishing in the same area.

Just bustin your chops my friend. No worries. Of course, he wasn't lying and no the inlet isn't secret, but when it's on might be sometimes. the report is too detailed for some people that I know in this area. It doesn't mean that much to me

The truth of the matter is that this place hasn't produced like in recent years. The back bay bite has been sporatic, at best, and the inlet bite has been good, when it's on - kinda like McNabb during his one good game this season.

Last years dredging didnt seem to help the bite, although I havent fished this area in YEARS, this year has definitely been better than last year, so I am told. Just figured I would try to help some folks out.

i stopped by trump marina yesterday after work and people were cleaning stripers ..they're there. not killing them but there if you put your time in. I'll let you know first hand after i go out after work today.
