Hey guys!
With the predicted 15 to 25 knot winds, big seas, and small craft warnings, we decided to run one trip today during the more seemingly cooperative conditions and hit the water for the morning tide with Greg, Joe, Bob, Mark, and Steve. Well, Mother NOAA wasn't lying as the wind was hawking a steady 20 knots NE with higher gusts and the seas were up to 6' or so and white capping, depending on where you were.
We got set up and had to wait, and wait, and wait them out some more. However, when the tide got right the bite went nuts and within an hour the boys were WACKING AND STACKING as Stevie T likes to say...two, three, and four at a time and the only thing stopping everyone from hooking up was a swing and a miss on rod #5.
When the mayhem had subsided and final counts were made, a limit of fish was in the box for all five anglers with most quality 35" to 40" fish. Bob pulled the hook on the would-be pool winner near boatside, a 40" plus fish. We also let a bunch go, too. It doesn't get much better. With the tide slacked off, the wind howling, and the seas going from big and ugly to bigger and uglier, we set for the dock with smiling faces.
Great trip guys! Thank you!
