Went out of Atlantic Highlands yesterday on a party boat. When we got to the spot there were birds diving for a mile from the time we got there till we left. My first fish was hooked less than a minute from the first horn and the action was nonstop all day. My biggest was 33" but there was one over 40" and a few close to that. The boat came in a few hours early because every one was limited out and arms sore from catching and release. I only kept my first fish the 33 as it is more than enough of a meal for me and mine. Could have easily used my bonus tag but no need. Had some gators mixed in but not too many. Every lure worked except one of my metal lipped swimmers that would only draw bass to it and they would slap it with there tail. Kept it on for a while just to watch it draw up the big boys. Great day, I've heard of days that boats come back early limited out but never dreamed of such a bassful day. Bassful is that a word:rolleyes:

Its good you had a great day and everyone is happy at the time, but its kinda bogus they came back early, days like that dont happen all the time, and who knows if a 40lb was waiting to be had, not that you could keep it though but you paid for a full day too.

Days like that is what hooks fools like us, into chasing after such a Majestic creature, The Striped Bass...Remember those days, I remember back in the late 70zzz.... and early 80zzz When catching a keeper Striped Bass was a true Treasure. No problem coming back early either YOU got YOUR monies worth people can dream about it You LIVED it!

Those days of catch all you need and get back early are great. My dad had a day like that a few years ago on a boat out of Cape May. They stayed off the back (well off the back) of a clammer! Had a couple of days on fluke like that myself. :D
