Try for Tog instead of stripers...This cold snap has really pushed the stripers off. There still are some small fish,,,But, the TOG BITE should be great this weekend. Unless we see some herring I don t know if the Big Stripers are gonna show..

I am going this Sat from Forked River. Anyone going, please be advised that buoy 40 and now 38 is missing. It is extremely low at that turn. be careful!
I also have 4 spots available for tomorrow (Sat) if anyone is intersted in catching bass. call me.

BIG Stripers were reported off Shark River inlet this Wednesday.
What I do before going is check with some sources up there - couple of bait shops, charters. I'll know what to expect based on today's reports.

i was off of Shark river wed. there were no big stripers caught. Maybe a few 15 lb ers, but they were few and far between. most fish were well under 27 inches. We fished for several hours without a keeper. of course that does not mean they will not be there this weekend. Let's hope, and we do need some herring.

We are heading out on our small winter boat. The bigger boys have been put to rest for the winter. Exiting out of Squan Inlet, we will most likely be on CH. 68. I am making a list of this thread to call in any Barners if we find the bigger ones. Good luck to all, be safe!

Would love to go tog fishing but I have an open boat striper trip. Actually still have room available if anyone is interested. Love sitting over a wreck though! Anyone want to get a trip for tog going next weekend?
