12/7 Headed out chasin birds in front of WW & CM and hooked 61 bass today up to 34". The action was non stop from 9AM til sunset. All fish were caught on bucktails and diamond jigs. Also watched a whale off Cape May beach for a half hour. Glad I chose to take the day off, it was an awesome day on the water. ;)
12/8 Started out in the rips and got a couple then moved back to the bird play and we had another good day on my buddies boat with about 27 bass to 34".

Head out of the inlet and look up and down the beach. There have been bird plays from Corson's to Cape May every day this week. North of the bar in TI has been good.

Looking to hunt for the birds on Sunday outside of C.M. Once I find them (hopefully) how are you guys fishing the site? Diamond Jig off the bottom? Bucktail? Anything else? How do you do the bucktail - Cast in and reel back or jig? Thanks.

Thanks Rick, sure was fun out there, I had a blast.
Legalease, they hit bucktails, prob jigs too, if they were on the bottom, bounce your jig off the bottom, if the were busting water, cast to them and keep it on top, it varied depending on where the fish were. Look at your fishfinder and look at the top of the water. Also they do hit better when the 80s station was on satellite radio, it really works!:D
Smellinfishy, this is your time of year, you are the "jigmaster" if I recall!
Good luck guys.

Yeah , just got in and wacked em good again today. Around 27 bass to 34". Started in the rips and ended chasin birds. The fishin is awesome right now. Was on a friends boat without Sirius Radio and my 80's station, probably why we only got 27 instead of 61:D

The bass seem to be on bunker (about5 inches) and something else real small. Not really sure what the small things where. They seem to breakdown quickly and there were just a bunch of small spines and green sheet.. So I can see how the teaser would work. Was thinking about rigging one up this morning but, reeling up two would mean I would have to use a net, that would take two much time.:D
