go to a boat show and sign up, they deduct $225.00 of the cost. try and see if you can attend the week long course. monday thru friday and half day saturday. seemed easier than 3 week long course...good luck...dave

As SnakeEyes says, try to sign up at a boat show, they give discounts.

All the schools are very good, due to my work schedule I went to Mariner school, 3 w/e including Fri. night.

It gave me a chance to study each week the previous lessons.

The KEY no matter who you go with is to study, study, study and you won't have a problem.

Good luck.:D

they offer cources in different areas throught out the year, and they are reasonably priced. They also offer the upgrad cources so you can get 100 ton master, and assistance towing endorsment.

I wonder if the Coast Guard would include that time as sea time towards my 100 ton unpgrade. 8-)
