Ran south from Squan into a barren sea, turned around at south Mantoloking and continued driving without a bird to be seen.

Finally found it going off north of the rocks quite a way off the beach. Lots of birds, lots and lots of shorts on both jigs and topwater.

One keeper at 32# on a jig

Nice job G-

Was that one keeper at 32", or 32 lbs? Nice fish if it was a 42", 32 lber.
I gave up after the snow and pulled my boat last week.

We had them pretty good up there today and yesterday...
Yesterday, 4 keepers with over 50 fish caught on the jig incuding a bunch of big blues between four guys.
Today between 2 of us we had 30 shorts on the top and bottom with swimmers, poppers, and jigs.

Thats a nice fish G., nice way to end it. Yeah, I saw the 10 day forecast, and decided to haul when I saw snowflakes coming. Probably get a nice spell of warm weather and calm seas now that we're both out. Time for me to hit the rodshop for a few months....keep me sane until spring.
