Can these rods be used for pulling umbrella rigs? I pull both bunker spoons and umbrella rigs. Also what is the cost of these rods?

weston can i ask what makes a good bunker spoon rod? unfortunatley i have already purchased what i hope will foote the bill, im not using wire line, mostly braid and mono set ups trolling the middle chesapeake bay for trophy striped bass.
i went with the barefoot magigraff inshore series a 7'0" which is for lures about 1/2 oz all the way up to 6 1/2oz it seems to have a quick tip which i think may be important for pulling the spoons??.. any insight you can give would be helpful.. other than that ill look your way for business in the future.. thanks.

marlinmett the rod should bounce as you pull your spoons around. the blank that I found to be best is a seeker 11' furf rod cut down to 8' works great. You do not realy need special guides for brad or mono but for wire yuo do.

Tony Sheerin Yes you can use for pulling umbrella rigs. I pull umbrella rigs most of the time but have alot of customers up north that like spoons. that is why I designed a rod to pull both. This rod can also come in 20-40lb class. Thanks Weston

I can cut the blank to the size of the storage compartment and make it a two pice rod with a metal fural. only thig is the blank might not be cut 50-50 in 1/2. need to know how long your storage compartment is. I do not have the storage on my boat either I always take off the boat when done fishing. I have a 24 ft trophy cuddy walk around hard top. Not enough room for all the boat rods and troling rods. when I am fishing I just store them in the rocket launchers. Never made a rod like this but I will do it for you it is a good idea lots of people do not have storage for long rods. If you want to do this call me my ###s on my web site westoncustomfishingrods.com Thanks Weston:) :)

Weston, i recently bought 2 penn 113hsp for trolling wire line and need to match them with rods. I'll be pulling spoons and unbrellas. Was wondering how much for rods? Let me know.

Hi Tony Sheerin the cost of the rod is 300$. Can have them done in 3 to 4 weeks. Just need you to send a picture of your rods so I can match the thred wrap on your penn rods. Also need to know if you want 15 to 30 or 20 to 40 lbs. If you get a set I will drop the price 10%. If you go on my web site westoncustomfishingrods.com you can see a picture of one of these wire line rods and outher rods. If some one gets sets of two or more I can give slite discounts. Also offer gaffs to match the set of rods. Thanks Weston
