The RIPTIDE STRIPER DERBY ended on Dec 31st and the winner was Jerry Miller's 33lb 10oz striper with B.J. Nemeth (30lb 10oz) and Walter Fenton (29.5) taking 2nd and 3rd respectively. The turn out this year was a record with 281 people entering the tournament. 100% of the money will be donated, $2810.00 will be split between South Jersey Cancer Fund and Brigantine Hooked on Fishing. We will be holding an awards ceremony at the end of February. Thanks to Capt Bob Paxson of AClight Tackle Charters, Tom Devine of the Rod and Reel, and Brad Green of the Nextel/Sprint store in Absecon for donating the prizes. I would like to thank everybody that was involved and I'm looking forward to next year and making it an even bigger event.
We will be having a Midnight Madness sale on Saturday Feb 9th. Everything in the shop will be 15%-50% off from 10:00pm-2:00am so make sure you mark that on your calendar. I promise there will be NO eels swallowed at the sale. We will be serving coffee and refreshments along with doughnuts. We will also have Reps from some of the biggest names in the fishing industry. Stop in and get a great deal or just grab a bite to eat, we hope to see you there.
