Gonna say bucktail tipped with pork, or something similar. I recently bought the same boat you have i was wondering what size anchor do you use with how many feet of chain.

according to the survey bucktails came in at number 2 as far as the best striper lure of all time. I find the article to be a bit speculative but what the heck it's killing time until I wet a line.;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

I don't use plain curly tails, but I can tell you late one night on a sodback last spring, this old sharpie walks by and on the end of his line is a huge curly tail grub. We get talking and he tells me how it's his secret lure for years and how he slays the stripers with that white curly tail grub. Not sure how he fared that night (probably better than me) but the author of that article is apparently not the only one who uses curly tails as their #1 striper lure . . . unless of course the guy I was speaking with WAS the author ;)
