Just got back from the somerset show. It was pretty good. I saw a lot or rods and reels leaving the building. Picked up a few odds and ends I needed before the season gets underway.

I stopped by the Tackle Direct Booth to pick up a Accurate Lanyard for my Boga Grip, Fishermans Supply booth for some RM Smith & AH plugs.

Of course I stopped by the Lamiglas booth. I love the new Triflex rods they came out with, TPX7020 spin. It will combo up nice with the new Sustain 5000. I spent about a half hour at the booth. Already placed my order with Ron.

I had to stop and have a talk with Darren & Bill from the NJ Angler. They are a couple of great guys. Fishing is there life, which works out great for us.:D Darren was giving some tips on throwing a cast net.

After that it was off to the VS booth, I'll take one of everything.

I arrived at the show at 10:00 and found myself done around 2:00. Good time. Only spent about $200. I got away cheap.

PS: They had that bait cannon at the show again. Still havn't seen one on the beach yet. I would love to see it work in person.

I almost forgot, Cindy Garrison, "SMOKIN HOT" The TV does her no justice. Would you beleave I didn't hear a word she said!:)

I agree. It was well worth the drive to Somerset. They must have been giving those rigs away. :D

Great show with some great deals. It was nice to meet Bill from NJ Angler and Crazy Alberto was quite funny during his seminar. I did pick up a new Lami 9'6 triflex for 90 bucks :D at metzlers (a perfect match for my stradic). I also picked up some RonZ rubba at Fisherman's supply and they had the best price on them. I was looking for some Baystalker Swimmers there too, but they were all sold at Asbury. Finished it off with a new pair of split ring pliers.
The only thing I couldn't find were Stillwater Smackit & Jrs. I love them & nobody had them:confused:.

I might just head back up there today (Sunday). I picked up a line spooler for spinning tackle and I need a different adapter for my 6000 spool size. Well its an excuse.

I tried to get the same rod at Metzlers booth and they tried to sell it for 110$.... It seems like they overpriced the rods so it would look like a huge discount. They had the 9' Surf King for that price, but it seemed a little "whimpy". They were trying to get me to buy the real expensive green one for 250$..I just kept thinking "I could get a custom rod for that price" not to mention my wife would kill me. So I left without a new plugging rod:mad:

The sticker on mine was $156...hahaha. The cheapest I've seen it was $99 so I was happy to get it at $90. I came home with it and my wife said "another rod". I said it was only $90 because everything I ever buy is on sale for $100;)

I was there friday afternoon. I will say it was one of the better shows I hae been to. Lots of gear, not too many charters, and the focus was truly on fishing products and not generic boating or outfitters/lodges.

I went with the idea I would pick up some odds and ends....$250.00 later, and I did not buy a rod or a reel! My little contribution to the slacking economy I suppose.

I learned to throw a 10' cast net (in the back right corner) by some cranky old codger - he custom builds them. Now there is no excuse for throwing my 8 footer like a banana.

Cindy Garrison was there and yes, she is quite the hottie.

Now I've got the itch (and Cruex can't touch this....Bass is the only cure).

E Bay but I don't see it there anymore. The model # is TS 95MHS. I believe it is the first generation tri-flex and not the new ones (sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong). The top grip above the reel is foam. But any lami for 90 bucks is a steal.
If you only want to spend @ $90 buy a Tica TC3. They are without a doubt the best rods for the money out there. I have a 8ftr and I love it and so do many others. East Coast Tackle has them and they are always great to deal with.

I got lots of goods too. Out of all of my purchases I can't wait to troll my T-man tubes, they look too sweet.

I saw the yummy blonde too - I guess she must have been cindy garrison. What is her claim to fame other than being smoking hot? (not that there is a need for more than that).

It was definately a worth the trip from Brigantine! I picked up a JN-SKI Peanut Pencil plug, A.O.K Needlefish, Hogy plastics and The Art of Surfcasing with Lures by Zeno Hromin. I also got to attend the seminar by Crazy Al and the HOT Cindy Garrison.

Awesome show!

I was there Friday and Saturday at Tattoo's booth. Good to see Paul708 and striper101 and a bunch of others.

Cindy has one sweet rear! And her teeth don't look as large in person. :D

LamiglasMike, are you Mike Laptew? If so, it was nice talking to you at the Fish Prints booth. I was the guy that was all about Roosterfish and recognized your name from all the Lamiglas photographs in their catalogue :D

Damn, I wanted to go Saturday so bad to see Cindy Garrison, but I couldn't!!!! GRRR!!! :p btw, she used to have a fishing show on ESPN2 (Get'n Wild With Cindy) on saturday/sunday mornings, but I haven't seen it on in a while....and also...yes, because she's a hot fisherwoman :)

I do regret not attending more seminars, I did get to attend Capt. Pat Renna's talk about his T-man tubes. I forgot to pick some up so I will next time when I head up to my local Ramsey Outdoor store. I'll pick up one short and one long one. That's what he likes to troll with.

It was a great show for us at TackleDirect and we appreciate all the barners who visited and said hello, especially you LamiglasMike :)

Steve from AOK and his friends, class acts, glad to see you again.

Check out NJ Angler this weekend, the TackleDirect Tackle Locker segment was shot in our booth with an interview of a member of our Team :)

It was alot of work and I'm not running on much sleep but was worth every hour of the show. Meeting Cindy Garrison and getting a nice picture with her in our booth was a great experience, she is one cool lady :D
