stipers in central jersey

has any one heard of any stripers in the central jersey area IBSP or LBI

pre spawn, early-mid june start seeing the larger stripers oceanfront chasing bunker schools. years gone by when we did fish this we have done well with mature fish upon the inner sod banks of LBI Light live line herring during mid may on.

No stripers of any size have hit the beaches yet, but you can find nice fish in the bay if you know where to look this time of year..plenty of legal teens and twenties. these are fish that didn t migrate part of our resident stock..Find a hole on the flats and chum heavy with clams, and they ll come to you. You can also find some really nice ( Breeder) weakies, and Blues will be raiding the bay in the next week or two,,,
