Inside the 20 slough. 9 of my buddies and I limited out. Only kept 18 stripers 40-60# as that was a enough meat for us (we released two 30"ers to keep the stocks up) we actually fed all the ferral cats around the matts landing area with a fish or two for our good deed of the week.... boy was that a good trip...pics comin soon:D

I have to wonder what would prompt a guy submit such a post. What are you, twelve. Sounds like something you'd say at recess.
Just to stir up sh#t, the bitterness of a small mind. The mere fact that this is what you decided to spend your time on illustrates clearly to all what kind of person you are. Get a life!

Hey Fly Guy I agree.....I live in WC and am trying to put together a plan for the bay (DE) on Sunday. Debating north for stripers or south for drum with the full moon coming.

You must be one of the guys saving the world one striper at a time. I think its BS that a guy can catch a legal limit and catch sh!it about it on here after posting a good report. Yeah I might have been stirring the pot a bit, yeah, by the way only 4th graders and under usually get recess, that would make me 10:rolleyes:

Oh, and I have had nights like that, just with fish not all between 40-60#, that was exagerated a tiny bit:eek: (have yet to put a 60# in the box, got my 50# though) and when we do get into them like that we put back most of them

Its just crazy people get bashed for fishing reports. WE ALL spend ungodly amounts of time and money to fish for these lil critters, with the rising price of fuel and everything else in this world, it doesnt make sense to not keep your limit. To go float around the bay for a day or night (1 day or night) it costs me over 200$ in fuel just to fish. Not including a bushel of clams, 20-40 bunker, food, ect. So that being said, Say four of us go out and we catch 6 twenty pound fish. thats prolly 6-7# of meat from each one....6x6=36lbs of meat. 280/36= about 8 bucks a pound for fresh meat. Not so bad, till you couple it with the cost of owning a boat, maintence, insurance and whatever breaks that trip. stop bashing and start applauding your fellow fisherman for doing a good job, not once did I ever get bashed or cussed from my fellow marina buddies for limiting out, I got a good ol' slap on the shoulder and a "atta boy" not this BS that you computer jockeys hand out. Pick up a rod, go fishing and have fun:)

Whatever happened to the good ole days on the barn when you could joke, have fun and laugh. Now you have to walk on eggshells with your posts so you don't get jumped all over.

I once made a post about keeping 32 Tog for 4 people when it was one a day. No one jumped on me, some guys that don't know my humor emailed me privately to let me know the limits and others continued the joking with me. I guess those days are over.

I'm not pointing fingers at anyone. But I won't post any sizes or numbers of fish I catch, just to avoid the drama. I will give my opinion on gear, locations, and styles. But I will probably not post when I catch fish. I will email the few I speak to on regular basis and thats it.

It's a shame a handfull of people have ruined it for others trying to learn. I know of a lot of good anglers on this site that will not post catch reports anymore for the same reasons. I apologize to the guys seeking information to better yourself in this sport, but I don't feel like reading 200 posts on why my keep to release ratio is bad for the future or why I shouldn't have kept a big fish or why I shouldn't keep a just legal weakfish or whatever else someone feels they need to complain about

What ever happened to the good ole days? They left when NJ started to be overrun with bed wetting, tree huggin' liberals. According to them you can't hunt or fish because they are going to save the world. When you have a day like that, don't post! Just call your friends! They will understand and have a good laugh with you.
