View Full Version : Raritain or Barnaget

Ok guy's I've got a couple of solders going fishing this weekend and was going to Barnaget but with that Nor'easter in the begining of the week I don't know now.

I haven't fished Raritain bay yet this year but I hear lots of good reports but not sure were to look. What do you guy's think north or south. Any input would be cool I want to put these guy's on some fish but I worried about the the water being messed up in Barnaget.

What do some of you guy's think? I know there are some guy's out there with good info so help me put some of our fighting men on some fish. If you don't want to but it out on the internet email me at dwcmac@msn.com Thanks guy's I just want these guy's to have a good time.

Don,

Head north. Water is clearing up down here but it was chocolate milk. There were a couple bass caught saturday. Some in the bay and some out front. Email me for specifics.

I make that ride in the late fall and early winter for jigging striper off the hook. But If I'm fishing the bay I trailer up to AH. Its a long ride home with a south wind and 40 degrees out.:p

Do you use bunker? Are you fishing inside or out? I'll give a shout around 8:00am.

Don CBe using clams ,reports say bass were hungry today at Romers Shoal..Sounds Good!!!..I'll also go on the troll if clams don't do the trick.

Either or. Week fish or better in Barnaget . Blues seem to be all over raritan last week. Bass can be found in raritan if you are a good hunter. Was out last week and only blues about 10 in four hrs. Procrastinator post bass being caught . Give him a shout.Bunker at GK no problem last week.

I'd say north is ther safe bet

Call Tony at Twin Lights marina. great guy. he will take care of you with clams and or bunker. 1800 917 bait. sent you an e-mail with some suggestions too.

Went out with my cousins last night up north. We headed out to the SI side on Raritan bay and set up clamming with out a touch (wind agnist the tide) so we headed back towards "the berg" and set up in a hole and chummed up 2 shorts, lost another, and a big skate all after like 9pm. The wind died, it was cool but nice.

We'll be on 72 or 68 give us a call on Saturday. We'll probably be on Old Orchard shoal or up in the reach. I'd be happy to help you find a fish or two for those guys. I'll be making bait on Friday if the weather is good. We'll be in a 31 Ocean Master (Flying Fish)

Don CGlad you found them Don,Didn't make it up there with Sat weather,!!!!!!Stayed close to home port ,NADA,NADA..Maybe next time..
