Ran north out of Manasquan inlet hoping to find something along the way but it was pretty quiet until we hit the rocks. We didn’t have the shad rigs in the water for long before the bluefish cover up was upon us and it was nonstop, including a four banger on one rig which we thought was a nice bass for sure. We did manage to boat a couple of shorts and one keeper bass in between all the blue fish. With everyone’s arms warmed up we moved up to the hook to try some clamming, which was a little slow. A couple of blue fish and one bass at just 28 inches was all we had to show for our efforts. We moved back to the rocks to pick up where we left off, a bunch more blue fish and two more keeper bass for a total of four for the day. Despite the strong NW winds, it was an awesome day on the water and the company was great as well.
I’ll post some pics a little later, the Misses, who rode in MS bike tour today is waiting to go out and get something to eat.
One last thing, I am open for this coming Saturday, May-24, if you are interested give me a call or drop me an email. If I don’t book the day by early next week I will most likely run an open boat trip.

Here’s a couple of Pics from Saturday’s trip.
Chances are I’m not going to fill this coming Saturday’s trip, so as of right now it is an open boat trip! We will most likely head north and troll, clam and jig for bass, plus Saturday is the opening day for fluke so if we limit out early or the bass are being a little finicky we try and put a couple of flatties in the box on the way home. $100.00 per person, plus tip for the mate, leave around 6:00am back around 2:00pm . Call or drop me an email, first come first serve so don’t wait till the last minute to reserve your spot.

That was four feisty crocodiles on one rig, my mate Dave had his hands full with that one.
We still have spots available for this coming Sat. open boat trip, check the open boat form for details.

Those boxes have caught more ZZZ’s then anyplace on the boat. I tell people all the time, I defy you to lay down on the cushions on top that box and not fall asleep!
Still have spots open for what should be a good bass day on Saturday, check the open boat forum for details.
