In the evening

I was thinking of heading out friday afternoon. Anyone have any luck in the evening off south LBI area? Are the bunker active all the time or is it a early morning thing only? Thanks.

We routinely find good bunker activity in the evening, although we are up around Belmar. Often times there is much less of a crowd.

I was out of BL Wensday evening and the bunker were scattered. We were making big fish deep, 45 to 55 ft. We only snaged one but we could have gotten more but that's a story for another time.

The bunker were hard to locate due to the wind,but I found a small pod off Beach Haven. I snagged 2 & sent them down with no takers. A whale rolled by & the bunker were gone after that. The water temp jumped 10 degrees in 5 days. I headed in & caught 7 fluke to 17" in about an hour on gulp (that stuff really works).Thanks for the info...
