Ge Inlet - Thurs Am Report

Got out at sunrise, found bunker pods in close, No Bass. Decided to try a little deeper. Found bunker at about 30' dropped a couple of them, hooked into a 5-6' thresher came up to the boat, slapping on his side, eating bunker, he then realized he was hooked and that was the end of that. :eek: Neat to see him boatside ... came in close for another try and nothing, wrapped it up early. Side note: bunker were not near as thick as Thurs.

just got off the phone with my dad and the stripers are feeding later....they just landed a 50lber and had another one!

no they are further north i believe but the bass are feeding later in the morning

Tried the same last night. No bass but plenty of bait. at one point we were completely surrounded by bunker. Various times the bunker would scatter like hell. Had to figure something was chasing them but no takers. Around 8:30 a school of porpoise came in and the bunker disappeared... Have heard reports that fish are close by just need to be there when they are aggressively feeding I guess.
