Broke the inlet early around 4:30, found bunker off spring lake, snagged a couple and started fishing, didn't take long for it to get pretty crowded, was about to pick up and run north when we hooked a nice fish, 30lbs. Tried for a little longer, but too many boats so decided to run north, didn't see any more bunker from spring lake to deal. Tried fluking off deal for a bit, but only short fish. On way back, found bunker again off squan and we weren't going to fish anymore but then I saw the crazies blitz I have ever seen, hundreds of big bass just destroying bunker on the surface, it was amazing, got near them and switched our fluke rigs to bass rigs, had one on imediately, but it came off and then they were gone, fished and looked around for about another half hour but they never surfaced again, it was a crazy sight. Couldn't believe the boat traffic for a wednesday, didn't see any other fish caught though, was a bit slow, but nice day on the water and plenty of fish for dinner.
