I don't know about a 44lber but I've seen a guy catch 1 up this way on one of those boards....that is impressive though.

what was he doin to catch it? did he have all the rod holders n crap rigged up to it????
just curious cuz the shop i work in has a demo SU paddlboard i can take out ne time n ive been dying to try to fish off it.

Joe, Has always danced to a different drummer, thats what I like about him. Fishing off longboards has been going on for 40 years (probably a lot longer)it is now a pretty serious sport (if you do a search) with competitions commonplace in California. Fishfinders and rod holders, its all been done.

They are buying boats. Last year 74% of boat sales in the US were kayaks.

A boat is a watercraft (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Watercraft) designed to float or plane on water, and provide transport over it.


A kayak is most certainly a boat. you just have your own "agenda" here.

Did it on my jetski this weekend got 4 over 30 and lost many more. I will tell you right now this is the best way to do it. Your quiet around the bait and can blast from pod to pod. Unreal, I'll be out again friday outta manasquan.

Whats your problem bro... I didn't relize you had to fork out 20k+ just to catch a striper... People do what they can, hense the reason people fish from the shore.. Is it right for them to fish your ocean without a boat? Sounds like someone might a little jealous of lack of fish caught this spring even with your fancy means of transportation on the water. :rolleyes:
