how far off is the mud bouoy from SRI. looking for some places for bluefish

The Mud Buoy is the "NY" buoy as marked on charts.

It is about 14 miles NE from Shark River Inlet @ 46Degress magentic.

The Buoy is Yellow there is typically a fleet there bottom fishing and chumming or jigging for Bluefish.

Acres of Bluefish were attacking Sardines on the surface Saturday between the Scotland buoy (further north) and the Mud Buoy.

got them on the ridge on saturday afternoon and they were gone sunday

i would try the Farms first. a lot closer for you then the mud buoy.
i haven't been there this year but the bluefish were practically jumping in the boat there in years past.
