while fishing for tuna we caught and released a 52 lb Stripe Bass "according to the Boca Grip" nice fish. As far as keeping the fish It would have been illegal for we were fishing 3 miles off shore.

Billo last year we caught a 90lb football blue fin 30 ft from shore in september. My friend caught it, what was the killer is he had no clue what he was doing, I mean he had the spinning reel up side down trying to reel in the fish. You may be woundering where we caught these fish, if you are interested I will say, the ?? is are we alowed to name locations on this website.

How far out were you? I was always under the impression that stripers hugged the coast. I didn't realize they could be found off shore!

The key for us is about finding the bait, and matching the hatch. We have been using striper magnets 10 inch violet white and bubble gum to take fish feeding on top, just make sure you use a gooood hook. we have been catching monster bass the past few days while fishing for tuna. Or should I say "TUNA WISHING":) :) :) :) :) :) :)
