Left bayonne at 6 am to find birds working just outside of cooney island after hooking up wiht 8 blues to 8 pound all but two released we headed for the 70ft hole just east of the ambrose. First drift nada, second drift I felt somthing poking at my whole squid and finally a hook up thought for a second I had a nice fluke eneded up being a 25 in striper. moved in the ambrose and caught fluke all day probally had 10 new jersey keepers all went back in the water, becuase we have to drive through new york on the way home. Moved a little bit and caught 2 large see bass about 2.5 pounds and more throwbacks. Moved further down the channel after a phone call and picked more throwback and one 22 3.5 pounder. Me and my dad must have landed 100 fluke only one NY keeper. Still alot of fun when mom watches the kids so I can go fishing with dad. Not sure if she does it for me or him but she even hangs around for an hour after I get home while I go for a swim and have a cocktail Mom are the best
