Any reports from y mills or chester river for crabbing . I heard from one source its hit or miss. BEST CRABS I EVER HAD MD.

Don't know about down there, but we're getting them on the Elk, the northern parts around the C&D and above.:thumbsup:
Last summer they were thick around Turkey Point, not this year.:huh:
And just for the record, I clean my crabs before I cook them:eek::D:D

I had been doing very well every weekend for the last month until last weekend. Laid 2000' three times and ended with a half a bushel. Long Cove area.:confused:

Have friends and cousins crabbing the Wye and Elk. The Wye was filthy with females last week ( 3 to 1 favoring the females) A local waterman says the female chase the males out of the river. A buddie of mine borrowed 20 traps from me last weekend and went to the Elk ( He was really late! 1:00 pm late. anyway he got 4 ( crabs not bushels) Others claim good catches within a few hours. Guess I'm going to have to give it a try at the Elk. The Wye is 2.5 hrs for me vs. the Elk at 1hr. Any other info about the Elk would be greatly appreciated.

elk was on fire up above the c+d split, havent been in a few weeks
now through halloween is the best time to hit the chester, big black bottom crab :D
you should be able to crab the wye up through november

Look forward to giving it a shot. Remembe ryou need a license to crab in MD.
