Heading there this weekend,It is an awesome time of year to be down there and always have fun, would like to do some fishing, but don't have a boat. Was wondering if there's any decent spots to fish from land, whats hitting, and what bait/lures. I appreciate any advice.

two spots to try from land; East Neck Island Bridge, or Tolchester Marina. Tough to catch with lures from shore, best bet is bunker chunks. Get some bunker from Fords Seafood, skip the tackle shop bait. Good luck.

There's another place which rent's boats on rt 20 right in town I can't remember the name. It's a bed and breakfast. These boats have motors unlike the ones @ Eastern neck Island. You can also try at the beach.Go out to the point to the left of the beach, catch some spot wi clam snouts and live line em out.Big cat's and sometimes Rock!!:DFor adventureous souls there's also the rocks off Green Street.

thanx for the info. i think the B&B is swan point, we rented there a couple of years ago, and tried last year but the guy said he stopped renting them because the motors got too beat up. will definitely try for those spot and stripers (oops i mean rock fish) from the beach. i'm stay in the marina with the pool & motel (forget the name)think i might try there, too.

right now you should be able to go right out in front of the east neck boat rental place and catch a bushel of decent crab, crab in the channel that runs through the flats and eventually makes it way under the bridge....good luck

My aunt has a house boat(no engine) in the marina. Only had a couple of hours to fish on saturday afternoon, at a friend of their's house. Great spot right on the bay, but no luck for me. Was using GULP bloods, trying for some spot to live line. Had some awesome crabs, though and heard they were killing the blues out in the bay. Had a good time though, hopefully next time i'll have a little more time to fish.
