Bass in oyster channel

Wife and i fished oyster creek channel today using spots.we caught 9 bass with 3 keepers the 2 biggest being 32" very beginning of out going was the best

Have caught lots in seasons past anchored on the sod bnks clamming, but never tried the spot method, assume you just drift along channel? Same rig as clamming? Any areas more productive then others??
