chartered capt dawson on the carolyn d, wanted some troutt stripers

capt went s towards va and anchored on some hard bottom near a good edge

three of us caught a quick limit on the trout and thenmoved s again for a hill for stripers

caught a limit 19-25 '' on cut bunker and live spot, about 50=50

slicky calm came back early

what was interesting was that on a hard bottom if we let the cut bait sink, we caught a bunch of small 10 sea bass, good number and bods well for that fishery

Hey guys,
I just got back from directly across the bay. I fish inside Smith Point. Caught our limit on live spot only. The fish haven't moved in real well yet....water is still alittle warm in the jetties. I'm going back down in 2 weeks. It should be on fire! 19-25" is exactly right. Same size every year. Get'em Wet! Pig
