There are beaches in from Edison to the ocean. However, your best bet this time of year would be to head to the ocean.

Is there anything in particular around Cliffton Beach and Keyport? I do alot of surf fishing with lures, ava's & jigs. Is there any good fishing for Bass and Blues around these areas? I work up in the area, and really don't want to travel too far, being I will have to back track to go back home. If anyone has any good advice or area suggestions as such, please let me know. Thank you.
absolutely work Clifton Beach, work around high tide. the fish are there as long as the bait is, which will be until the water cools down.
then there's keyport dock area, union beach, including the walk on the keyport side of the point to pebble beach.

And there is Sea Warren and Perth Amboy and if you go over the Gothels bridge there is Chape Hill....the whole bay has fish and there are better spots than others depending on the time of the year. The Hook and along the ocean beaches are going to be your best bet this time of year.
