NE winds came in and blew and blew but Nick was still coming for the open boat trip. Ran out to the inlet and with 4 to 6 footer found a spot to anchor up and started to fish even with the 20 to 25 mph winds. Thought the wind would die down but that did not happen and it blew and blew all day. Fishing also blew. We ended up with three run offs and land one striper 24 inches and that was it the whole day. The Striper was released do to the size.

Had one persons for the open boat but ran the trip anyway. Weather was great and the seas were nice. Had Bassbarner, Tony on board for the trip. Found a nice spot about 1.5 miles out the inlet and there was some nice white water in the area. Not alot of traffic felt good about the spot. Got set up and the clams hit the water and with in the first hour had two hits. Tony felt a hit and set the hook and had a nice fight and it was the first striper of the day. 24 inches and back in it went. Put the lines out again and several hits but only found skates. Almost at the top of the incoming tide and the line when screaming and it was game on again. Tony took the rod out of the rod hold and boated is fist keeper strip of the year 35 inches. One in the box now it was time to get another one. Day was cut short but that story should be told but Tony himself.
