:D We started the weekend in the surf on Friday. You know the old saying, "a bad day fishing is better than a good day at work"? Yeah, well that was Friday. At least the weather was real nice. Saturday made up for it. We fished on the Un-Reel with Capt. John. Left the dock at 7:00. It didn't look like it was going to be a good weather/water day with the water crashing over the top and sides of the boat on the way out. Boats already on anchor were rocking pretty hard. We put on our weather gear and went fishing. Just over a 1/2 hour in, we had our first hook-up. A nice 40 incher. The sun got high in the sky, the jackets and sweatshirts came off and it was that November 1st that you can only hope for. We caught five total all over 36". We missed a few. There were a few sharks (damn dogfish) but no real big deal. The skipper did one hell of a job putting us on the fish. We heard about shorts all day long on the radio. We heard a bunch of people with no fish at all. We were lucky and the captain knew what he was doing which made for a good trip. The link below is for Captain John's report of this trip. It has the pictures included.
