This is a really stupid question, but here goes; do you cook/bake the bass prior to cutting into 1/2" square pieces and mixing with the other ingredients?
I'm going to give it a shot tomorrow night. I'm not much of a cook, but I'm going to give it a try.

Don't cook prior. We made some for the first time last night, fantastic. :thumbsup:

Doing them for years, and we do not pre-cook the striper. :thumbsup:

Bev’s Striper Cakes
2 Tbs mayo
2 eggs
1 cup chopped onion
2 lbs striper cut in ½” pieces
1 cup chopped pepper
1 cup chopped celery
2 cups Italian breadcrumbs
2 tbs red pepper flakes
2 tbs Dijon mustard
1 tsp old bay
Form patties and pan fry 4 minutes per side
