Is there anything besides using a magic marker to mark off this line? I got the dark green line, and wasn't sure if you could use say something like white nail polish or even spray paint. Or would these eat away at the line?

I just found of an interesting way to do just this. Get a small needle and, using either thread or a different color power pro, stick the needle through the braid. At the end of the length thread(or braid) you're using, tie a few overhand knots onto the main line. I suppose you can either continually wrap around the power pro about 10-15 times or do a combo of wrapping around the line and threading the needle back through the braid. Then simply tie a knot back on the mainline and trim the excess. It will pass through the eyes just fine and not mess with the integrity of the braid. Won't wash off either. a little time consuming but you wont have to mark it again.

You can buy color coded Diawa braid in any lb test you need at tackle direct. It changes color every 10 feet. Splice a section on end of your power pro to what ever length you need or spool up your entire reel. Easiest way to go - I did it on my tuna jigging stuff.

Stick with the Sharpie marker,,, quick, simple, cheap! it's one of the most important tools in the box, too.

you can also buy hi/low vis power pro line like the diawa line. That should solve the problem easy.

I like a mark that I can slide up and down the line(with slight resistance) as I often have to adust and change depths. The best thing I've found is telephone wire insulation.

Strip off a one inch piece of insulation with a wire strippers using a color contrary to your line color. Thread your braid through the insulation and slide it up the line a bit. Now get a 12 inch piece of 4lb. mono, and tie one to four overhand knots in a row at one end(depending on how much resistance you want for your sliding mark). Thread the unknotted end of the mono through the insultion between the braid and the insulation. Hold the insulation and pull the mono till the knot(or knots) slide into the insulation. Snip off the tag end of the mono. Now you have a mark that stays put, yet you can quickly slide up and down the line if you need to adjust, and doesn't hang up in your guides.
